All bets are done and it's time to pay up! The Duchess of Cambridge gave birth to a healthy 8lb 6oz boy, I mean Prince, yesterday at 4:24 p.m. local time at St. Mary's Hospital in London. This is the same hospital the late Princess Diana gave birth to Princes William and Harry. Kate Middleton went into labor at 6 a.m. local time. The royal parents entered the hospial from a side door as media and fans camped outside the Lindo Wing.
Traditionally, the birth notice is posted on an easel just inside the front gates of the Buckingham Palace by a palace aide for press. But the birth announcement for the third heir was changed last minute. The birth announcement was made by a royal aide just outside of Lindo Wing prior to it being taken to the palace. The notice will remain on the easel for 24 hours then taken to the Privy Council.
No telling how long the royal parents will keep the name a secret (those bets are still on) but they can come out of the hospital soon...everyone is patiently waiting...kind of.
