Nicole "Snooki" Polizzi turns to Twitter and Instagram after she heard reports of New Jersey's Pelican Island's residents wanting to ban her from filming Jersey Shore spinoff, Snooki & JWoww. Residents say the filming is a distraction to those trying to move forward from last October's disaster.
The slimmed-down fireball tweeted, "Unable [sic] how adults are trying to ban my son, my fiancé, and I from enjoying our summer at the shore. Grow up, get over yourself and move on. This is not how we should be treating one another. Absolutely sick and very sad. I pray for you. There's much bigger things to worry about in life than trying to ban my family from your neighborhood." What a sting but that wasn't the end.
The meatball linked a photo of a New Jersey Star-Ledger report from her Instagram account saying that more than 40 of the island locals met Sunday discussing just how to keep her away from their community. The report says that residents feel that Snooki and JWoww's prescence can bring a crazy atmosphere that can potentially threaten the houses that are trying to be rebuilt.
Another community meeting was held last night with fingers pointing at the local government for allowing such thing to happen. Some residents have hired attorney R.S. Gasiorowski to try to stop the production. The Star-Ledger quoted resident Sue Kosakowski saying, "It's a disgrace." As much distaste as Kosakowski has for the fist pumpers spending their summer there, Real Housewives of New Jersey Caroline Manzo shows support. Manzo tweeted, "@snooki good for you, I'm doing same. People should grow up & appreciate your support. Small business down the shore needs help this year."
Only time will tell what the result is. Until then, feel free to GTL in support.
All bets are done and it's time to pay up! The Duchess of Cambridge gave birth to a healthy 8lb 6oz boy, I mean Prince, yesterday at 4:24 p.m. local time at St. Mary's Hospital in London. This is the same hospital the late Princess Diana gave birth to Princes William and Harry. Kate Middleton went into labor at 6 a.m. local time. The royal parents entered the hospial from a side door as media and fans camped outside the Lindo Wing.
Traditionally, the birth notice is posted on an easel just inside the front gates of the Buckingham Palace by a palace aide for press. But the birth announcement for the third heir was changed last minute. The birth announcement was made by a royal aide just outside of Lindo Wing prior to it being taken to the palace. The notice will remain on the easel for 24 hours then taken to the Privy Council.
No telling how long the royal parents will keep the name a secret (those bets are still on) but they can come out of the hospital soon...everyone is patiently waiting...kind of.
While building her own empire, Nicki Minaj wants to be a mom! Minaj tells Marie Claire, "I was praying every day, 'You know what, Lord? I want to be a mom one day, and I want to start becoming the woman who I want to parent my child.'... I didn't want to become a person who wasn't enjoying the moment."
The rapper says she doesn't have a man but does have advice, "Don't chase any man. Put your school first," she said. "Men love independent women. You don't have to be a bitch, but there's nothing wrong with it at times. And: Men are kids at heart. They want to be nourished and pet like a dog," ......woof.
